Cusco Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain 4 Days

At the given time of your arrival, our representatives will be at the airport in Cusco, waiting to transfer you to the hotel and help you to check in and provide you with the necessary information about restaurants, currency exchange, etc. After this,  you have the morning free to acclimatize.

Optional Tour: In the afternoon at 13:00 hours, we will start the archaeological City Tour of Cusco, in this tour we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco,  it houses a large collection of architectural works of Spanish Baroque style.

Then, we will visit the Temple of Coricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, where the Spaniards built the Church of Santo Domingo over one of the most important Inca Sacred enclosures.

After this, we’ll leave the city to go to four archaeological sites, such as Sacsayhuaman, where the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) the most popular celebration of Cusco, is recreated every June 24th, then we will visit Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Pukapukara (famous Inca Baths).

The tour ends at approximately 6:30 pm.

This is the most important day, your visit to Machu Picchu, one of the Wonders of the World!

We encourage you to get up early, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 am, Urubamba or Ollantaytambo, and then transfer you in our private car to the train station at Ollantaytambo. Our train leaves at 6:00 am heading to the town of Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will be waiting for you to board one the buses to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Once we arrive to the Inca site of Machu Picchu, there you will have about two hours of guidance , during the explanation you will visit the viewpoint, the Intihuatana located at the top of the citadel, the temple of the sun, the temple of the condor, and other important sectors.

After this, you will have some free time to explore the rest of the citadel on your own. At the recommended time you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and board the train back to Ollantaytambo, here there will be a bus waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco City

We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at around 4:00 am in our private car, to the town of Cusipata, this trip takes about 2 hours. We will stop for breakfast in a Traditional Tourist Restaurant. Then we continue for one more hour.in our private transportation to the community of Chillihuani

Then, we start our hike to the Rainbow Hill, for approximately 2 hours, during the journey we will have amazing views of red and yellow mountains, also alpacas and if we are lucky, we can see condors flying and wild vicuñas.

While we rest, our Tour Guide will explain about all the meaning and origin of the colors we can see in the mountain, and the rest of the time we’ll have some free time to take pictures and contemplate this beautiful nature.

Finally, we start our way back, accompanied by the beautiful landscape, to take our transport to the village of Cusipata to have lunch and then return to Cusco.

If you prefer, you can rent a horse for 60 soles each way.

Note: If we have time, we can make some stops at interesting places such as the Inca bridge, the archaeological center of Rumi Colca and the Huacarpay lagoon on the way back to Cusco.

The team will be at the hotel two hours before the departure of the flight to take you from the hotel to the airport, to go back to Lima.
